Elchee first came across Dance music at the age of sixteen, while in his last year of school he acquired his first pair of turntables and began
DJ-ing.
In these early days, Elchee was mixing mainly Jungle and Drum and Bass, but this soon changed when a friend played him some Trance music.
This became a passion for Elchee, and he wanted to be involved in all aspects of it, thus he began to experiment with loop based music production programs.
‘ This was good for a while,’ he says, ‘ but it began to feel like cheating – I needed to start tunes from scratch’.
He then attended a music technology course at college at the age of seventeen, which helped to further his knowledge of equipment and software, but felt held back by other students lack of effort. However, with this newfound experience Elchee was able to setup a small home studio and begin to create.
Elchee’s music began on that day, and in spite of a few problems, such as record companies going bankrupt, he has never looked back. His tracks span genres such as Trance, Techno, Progressive house and more, but always retain his own unique style of haunting melodies and hypnotic rhythms, while at the same time encouraging an uplifting boost to anyone’s night.
Dance music is here to stay. Assume nothing.
